Transportation Needs

When a veteran has no transportation and needs a ride to the Charles George Veterans Administration Medical Center in Asheville then call me for transportation. We service Burke County for transportation to the Hickory Community Based Outpatient Clinic and to Oteen, the VA medical services.

Services offered

Service Officer every Sat AM
If you want to file a va claim we can help you and it won't cost a cent. Bring in a copy of your DD-214 and after a short interview we will take it from there, What do you have to lose? What do you have to win a payment may come your way.
Community Service
When a veteran needs assistance they can cotact DAV#43 requesting assistance and if we have a volunteer for their unique request they can assist. We don't have much of a financial assistance but we do have a bit of manpower.
Veterans Transportation:
Veterans needing transportation to the Asheville VA need to call me ASAP with their appointment. We need transportion approval from Oteen or we cant take you, that is why we need two days notice of a trip as a minimum, two weeks notice is better, it is on a first come, first served. Limit 3 passengers per trip.
Veteran support
On a quarterly basis we travel to Charles George VAMC to play BINGO giving the vets a cash payout with snacks to go along.
